Indonesia continues to maintain some of the lowest fuel prices in Southeast Asia, as reported by the country’s state-owned energy company. The nation offers the most affordable RON 92 gasoline, known locally as Pertamax, at about Rp15,950 ($0.89) per litre. This price is notably lower than those found in neighboring countries such as Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand.

In addition to RON 92 gasoline, Indonesia also provides the cheapest RON 95 gasoline in the region, priced at approximately Rp19,150 ($1.07) per litre. This compares to higher rates in Malaysia at Rp19,822, Thailand at Rp21,412, the Philippines at Rp25,288, and Singapore at Rp48,795.

Furthermore, Indonesia offers the lowest aviation fuel prices in Southeast Asia, with costs at around Rp20,190 ($1.13) per litre. Vietnam is next in line with slightly higher prices, whereas Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia show significantly higher figures.

When it comes to diesel fuel, Indonesia ranks as the third most affordable country in the region, with prices around Rp25,200 ($1.41) per litre. Vietnam and Malaysia offer diesel at even lower rates.

These price comparisons underscore Indonesia’s competitive edge in fuel costs across several major categories within Southeast Asia, making it a significant player in the regional energy market.
