Peter Cullen, the celebrated Canadian voice actor renowned for bringing life to iconic characters such as Optimus Prime from the Transformers franchise and Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, has passed away at 85. Born in Montreal, Peter Cullen’s career began in Canadian television and radio before he became a towering figure in the voice acting world. His journey to fame took a significant leap in 1984 when he first lent his voice to Optimus Prime in the Transformers animated series. This role would become a defining part of his career, one he revisited in seven Hollywood films from 2007 to 2023, in addition to various spin-offs.
